A short blast of 1/4 second duration will startle an attacker, cause minor muscle contractions, and have a repelling effect. A moderate length blast of 1 to 4 seconds can cause an attacker to fall to the ground and result in some temporary mental confusion. The Panther stun baton offers extended reach and comes in two sizes. We offer an 11" mini stun baton in 300,000 volts and 500,000 volts and we offer a 15" stun baton in 300,000 volts and 500,000 volts.
Our stun batons also have two electrically charged strips down each side of the baton. This is so that if an assailant was to try and grab the stun baton, they would receive a shock. It also allows you to stun the assailant in two different ways, with either a forward jabbing motion or a swing motion from the side.
Our stun batons are very popular for protection against dogs as they provide additional reach so that you may keep your hand as far from the animals teeth as possible.
We generally recommend the 11" mini baton for most people as it's size is convenient and more easily kept discreet. The 15" baton is generally used by security officers and police where discretion is not an issue.
