Batteries are encased in a special rubber sleeve and all battery connections are welded – there are no spring loaded terminals to deform and fail. Even the ring at the end of THE PIPE is a special heavy-duty split ring.

About Touch Buttons

THE PIPE reads durable metal touch buttons. Each button has a unique ID number. Officers, tour stations, and incident codes can all be recorded using touch buttons.

Buttons are attractive, durable, and unobtrusive, making them equally suitable for corporate headquarters or industrial environments. They are waterproof, and resist tampering and abuse, making them ideal for outdoor applications beause they will not corrode or degrade.

 

We offer several mounting options for touch buttons including plastic mounts and adhesive foam "dots".

We have worked with prisons, public institutions and others to provide secure mounting solutions. If you have problems with abuse or vandalism, or need extra-secure mounting for tour stations,

Mobile Downloading Solutions
The Mobile Downloader is ideal for supervisory or mobile patrols, where it is necessary to gather data from PIPEs at multiple locations. Since it is powered from a wall jack or automobile cigarette lighter, a supervisor or officer can visit multiple locations and download data from The PIPE at each location. This allows The PIPE to be returned to service immediately.

The Mobile Downloader stores the gathered data until it can be returned to a central office, where the accumulated data is transferred to a PC and processed by the Guard1 Plus software.


The Mobile Downloader stores up to 7200 button reads. A lithium battery provides protection against data loss for up to ten years.
